There has been a recent increase in Superannuation scams. This article from ASIC gives a good overview of what to look out for.

There has been a few news items recently discussing this, but in the last week we have had clients who have called us and have been the target of an attempted scam.

Luckily they were sceptical and called us to check, as well as ask us to keep a watchful eye out. In this situation we were able to speak to the Super provider and place notes on the clients account that no activity was expected in the near future on this account.
